Free Beat – Blame Me (with Hook)

How is it going everyone?  Today, I am sharing a free beat that I produced with you.  The track is called Blame Me and you can listen to it here:

I produced this song a couple of months ago for Sean Divine’s Low End Theory Producer’s Contest and it even received an honorable mention!  You can check out the contest winner’s announcement video here:

Now for a little backstory on the track.  This track, initially, was not supposed to be released as a free beat.  Initially, it was supposed to be released as a single that featured one or two local rappers on the verses.  Unfortunately, things did not go as planned, and since I had some time constraints, I simply ended up producing a beat with a hook.

This track was influenced by a few different styles and genres.  It combines melodic electronic elements in the synths & leads with modern hip-hop/trap elements in the drums & bass.  There are even some heavy influences in this song, as I was listening to a band named Owl’s Head and took some influence from them when it came to singing the hook.  It just goes to show you that creativity and influence can come from any source and that it does not have to be confined to boundaries and genres.

So feel free to give the track a listen and download it for free.  If you are a singer, a vocalist, or a rapper, then feel free to record some vocals on the verses.  Once you have finished recording and mixing your vocals, and you feel good about your performance, feel free to share it with us in the comments below!  The verses are very minimal, so feel free to cut loose and hit them hard.  I am looking forward to hearing what you guys come up with!
